I had such great days staying at this traditional hotel. The morning breakfast was fantastic with Covid-plenty to chose from both cooked. The service was absolutely WELCOMING. Got wake up calls free of charge, not bad too.

We had a nice city break, but there weren't many advantages to the hotel. Two facts that stood out were complementary shower gel and a powerful hairdryer. The hotel was also located within walking distance of the pier and a pub. Additionally, the room was adequately sized.
The negatives outweighed the positives. The hotel lacked any real character and the decor was outdated.

The free toiletries in the bathroom and the complimentary tea and coffee in the room were a nice touch. the location was perfect, only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and nearby shops. Another advantage was the cozy atmosphere of the hotel, with comfortable beds and nice decor.
The breakfast was disappointing as we had to wait until 9am to eat which made us miss out on early morning activities. some of the staff members were not very friendly or approachable.

I can't remember ever feeling more welcome in a hotel, regardless of the price. The Winchester in Great Yarmouth offers exceptional value for money and spotlessly clean, traditional rooms. The staff went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my stay, and their friendliness always put a smile on my face.
The breakfast option could be improved by automatically disengaging the shower switch after a few minutes of non-use, to save water and be more environmentally friendly.
